Disciple I: Becoming Disciples through Bible /Study begins Tuesday, Sept. 15
DISCIPLE is a Bible study program that focuses on more than content. One of its purposes is to help you develop good, thorough, and meaningful Bible study habits and to provide a good background for further study. Another purpose is to help develop strong
Christian leaders in the church. The DISCIPLE program views the participant as a learner, a believer, a follower, a proclaimer, then finally as a servant. The purpose of DISCIPLE may be found in Ephesians 4:12 “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”
The program works ideally through small groups of 10-12 for 32-34 weeks. These groups meet for 2 1/2 hours each week for fellowship, study, and prayer. A meticulously planned study manual guides your reading on a daily basis. During the course, the DISCIPLE groups move through the scripture from Genesis to Revelation and will read more than 70% of the Bible.
