Matthew 16:13-19 serves as a sound foundation for our newly forming Adult Ministries, with the 15th verse as the theme to embrace: “He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’” “I AM” is woven throughout the Bible as the unbreakable fibers of God’s personhood, presence and power, as well as our purpose as disciples of Christ called to serve together to build the church. Our A.M. (Adult Ministries) will focus on seeking to know, and inviting others to know, “I AM” as the center of our lives.
You have approached me with your ideas for new ministries for all ages of adults. Please share your thoughts and ideas with me in person, in my office door suggestion box, or by volunteering now to join the “I AM” leadership group. Several have already agreed to meet at least once a month to open our doors to new opportunities to serve as we seek the One who leads us.
The most powerful way each of us can make a difference in not only our spiritual growth, but also for those in the community is by praying often with faith for “I AM.” Carole
